🐮 The Hobby Farm Hand – Cancellation Policy

At The Hobby Farm Hand, I understand that life on the land can be unpredictable. To help me manage my time fairly and provide quality service to all clients, I kindly ask that you take note of the following terms:

✅ Booking Confirmations

Bookings are confirmed once a date and time have been agreed upon and the travel fee has been paid. The travel fee secures your appointment and allows me to plan routes efficiently. 

🚗 Travel Fee

A non-refundable travel fee is payable upon booking to confirm your place.

If the booking is cancelled or rescheduled with insufficient notice, or if the property is found to be unsuitable on arrival, the travel fee will be forfeited.

To avoid this, please ensure that photos or details of livestock handling facilities, yards, or access are provided prior to the visit. If these are not provided and the job cannot be completed safely or effectively, the booking will be cancelled on-site and the travel fee forfeited.

⏰ Cancellations & Rescheduling

More than 48 hours’ notice: No fee. Travel fee will be transferred to a new date.

Less than 48 hours’ notice: The travel fee will be forfeited.

Same-day cancellations or no-shows: The travel fee will be forfeited, and full service fee may be charged.

🌧️ Wet Weather Clause

If heavy rain or unsafe weather conditions make the job unsafe, impractical, or likely to cause unnecessary stress to the animals, The Hobby Farm Hand reserves the right to:

  • Postpone or reschedule the visit at short notice

  • Retain the travel fee to be transferred to a new date

  • Reschedule as soon as weather conditions allow

I’ll always communicate clearly and do my best to find a suitable new time as soon as possible.

🚜 Access & Property Suitability

If I arrive on site and:

  • The animals cannot be safely handled

  • The handling facilities are unsafe or inadequate

  • The property is not accessible (due to gates, locked areas, loose dogs, etc.) Or the agreed job cannot be performed due to missing prior information.

Then the booking may be cancelled on-site, and the travel fee will be forfeited.
